The Chicago show offers a manufacturing-focused look at processing, packaging and the equipment connecting them.

PACK EXPO International is scheduled for October 18–21, 2026 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Produced by PMMI, the event combines packaging and processing equipment exhibits with live demonstrations and on-floor education.

Look at the line as a system

For Resetrade, the relevant story is the machinery: how products move through processing, filling, closing, inspection and the next handling stage. A standalone speed claim does not explain how equipment will perform within an existing line.

Bring a description of product variation, pack formats and changeover frequency. Ask suppliers to explain what happens during a format change or interruption, not only during a steady demonstration run.

Materials and machinery need to agree

A change to a container, film or other material may alter the requirements placed on equipment. Use the show to connect those discussions and ask what validation would be needed before a production change.

The organizer’s themed areas and education sessions can help structure that comparison. Confirm the relevant supplier and demonstration details in the 2026 directory before arranging appointments.

Make the four days count

Published exhibit hours are 9 a.m.–5 p.m. on October 18–20 and 9 a.m.–3 p.m. on October 21. Registration is open through the official website.

Leave each serious conversation with a list of assumptions, missing information and next steps. Installation scope, operator training and service arrangements should sit alongside the machine specification in any later evaluation.
