MD&M Midwest 2026: one manufacturing visit across components, plastics and automation
The Minneapolis event combines five manufacturing sectors, creating a useful setting for teams working across product design and production.

October 28–29, 2026 · Minneapolis, MN · Informa Markets
MD&M Midwest is scheduled for October 28–29, 2026 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Informa Markets brings medical devices, packaging, automation, design and manufacturing, and plastics into one event.
Cross the boundaries between suppliers
The organizer has unified the former MD&M Minneapolis, MinnPack, ATX Minneapolis, Design & Manufacturing and Plastec Minneapolis shows as sectors of MD&M Midwest. That makes it useful for projects involving more than one manufacturing discipline.
A component change can affect tooling, assembly and testing. Plan conversations around the product being made, then seek input from the suppliers responsible for each stage.
Make demonstrations comparable
For Resetrade readers, the strongest angle is the production technology. Ask vendors to explain tolerances, materials, inspection methods and the transition from a prototype to repeatable output.
Prepare a common requirements sheet. It helps expose differences that a polished demonstration alone may not reveal.
Minneapolis planning
The expo is open 10 a.m.–5 p.m. on October 28 and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on October 29. Review the current education and conference options separately when choosing registration.
Assign follow-up work to the relevant design, manufacturing or quality specialist so supplier conversations become usable engineering information.
