Advanced Textiles Expo 2025: technical fabrics connect sourcing with fabrication
Industrial textiles, equipment and hands-on learning brought material choices into a practical production setting.
Advanced Textiles Expo took place at the Indiana Convention Center on November 5–7, 2025. Its relevance to industrial materials comes from the connection between fabric performance, fabrication equipment and the requirements of the finished application.
Participation across the combined events
ATA reported 3,559 participants across Advanced Textiles Expo and the co-located Sun Shading Expo North America. First-time visitors represented 34 percent of registrants. These are combined-event figures, rather than a separate count for the textile show.
The program covered advanced materials, technical fabrics and business issues. The Marine Fabricators Association Roadshow added hands-on learning, while the Emerging Technologies Conference preceded the exhibition.
Sourcing and supplier contact
Dimension Ortho’s Tyler Radack described visiting many booths and arranging samples, while Twitchell Technical Products’ John Hoyt emphasized the quality of conversations with industry partners. Both responses appeared in ATA’s recap.
That combination is valuable for a material buyer: samples provide something to evaluate, and the supplier conversation establishes what those samples represent.
Test the application, not the impression
Ask which performance data apply to the exact material under consideration and whether fabrication changes its behavior. Include the intended construction method, exposure and maintenance expectations in the request.
A visually convincing sample is not a complete specification. Advanced Textiles Expo is most useful when the initial discovery leads to an application-specific review with the people who will supply and fabricate the product.
