Coverings 2027 takes place in the North/South Building of the Orange County Convention Center. The event connects ceramic tile and natural stone suppliers with the professionals who select, fabricate, sell and install their products. For a buyer, a productive visit starts with the application and ends with a shortlist that can be evaluated after the show.
Choose the material for the application
Prepare a short brief for each project: interior or exterior, floor or wall, expected use, cleaning needs, dimensions and desired finish. Carry those requirements into supplier conversations so that visually similar products can be compared on the same basis.
For natural stone, ask about variation between the display sample and the material that would actually be supplied. For tile, ask which sizes and finishes are available together, how samples can be obtained and which supporting product information accompanies an order. These are questions to resolve with a supplier, not performance claims made by this preview.
Connect specification with fabrication and installation
A sample board cannot show every site condition. Bring a drawing or description of the substrate, transitions, corners and edges that matter to the job. Ask what preparation, compatible components and installer experience the proposed finish requires.
Fabricators can use the same conversation to discuss handling and shop workflow. Record the material, proposed method, unresolved questions and person responsible for follow-up. That creates a usable comparison between suppliers instead of a collection of photographs without technical context.
Build a realistic four-day visit
The published exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on April 6–8 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 9. Schedule important supplier discussions before the shorter final afternoon, and check the organizer for education times as the program develops.
Group meetings by product requirement rather than trying to see every stand. Leave time after a material discussion to compare alternatives and write down missing documents. Confirm the building, badge arrangements and admission details before travelling.
